Giorgio Armani is pleased to announce that leading Chinese actress Shu Qi will be the new Emporio Armani testimonial in Greater China, Singapore and Malaysia for Fall/Winter 2010.
The first advertising campaign featuring Shu Qi, which was shot on location in New York by world-renowned photographer Mario Sorrenti, will roll out starting from September 2010 in fashion and lifestyle magazines and on signature billboards.
Shu Qi has starred in many internationally acclaimed films including Cannes-nominated Millenium Mambo in 2001, French blockbuster Transporter in 2002, and in 2009, in the romance film New York I Love You, which premiered at the 2008 Toronto International Film Festival. With her triple roles in Three Times, the Cannes-nominated film directed by the legendary Hou Hsiao-Hsien, Shu Qi received much accreditation including being named Best Actress at the 42nd Golden Horse Awards in 2005. A regular guest at international film festivals, Shu Qi was invited to be part of the eight-member jury panel at the 62nd Cannes International Film Festival in 2009 and prior to that, she was a member of the jury at Berlinale, the Berlin International Film Festival in 2008.
