Earnings Disclaimer.
Luxa Terra is reader-supported. Some of the links in our articles are affiliate links, and we may earn a commission when you book or buy through them. This page explains exactly what that means, in plain terms — because you deserve to know how a publication you read makes its money.
What affiliate links are
An affiliate link is a tracked link to a hotel, retailer, or booking platform. If you click one of our affiliate links and then make a booking or purchase, the retailer pays Luxa Terra a small commission. The commission is paid by the retailer out of its own margin.
It costs you nothing extra
Using an affiliate link never changes the price you pay. You pay exactly what you would have paid going to the same retailer directly — the rate, the availability, and the terms are identical. The commission comes out of the retailer's side of the transaction, not yours. It simply helps fund the research, visits, and editing behind the publication.
Amazon Associates disclosure
Luxa Terra is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases. Amazon and the Amazon logo are trademarks of Amazon.com, Inc. or its affiliates.
Other affiliate relationships
Beyond Amazon, we participate in affiliate programs run by hotels, hotel groups, travel booking platforms, and select retailers whose products we cover. Where an article contains affiliate links, we say so on the page. The presence or absence of an affiliate program for a given place has no bearing on whether we cover it.
Independence comes first
Affiliate links never influence what we recommend or how we rank it. Our editors choose places first, on merit — through research, first-hand visits, and trusted local sources — and commercial links are added afterwards only where they happen to exist. A place cannot pay to appear in Luxa Terra, to be ranked higher, or to receive a favourable write-up. Many of the places we recommend have no affiliate program at all, and we cover them anyway. Our full approach is set out in our editorial policy.
No guarantee of results
Our recommendations reflect our editorial judgement and are provided for general information. Prices, availability, ownership, and standards change, and your own experience of a place may differ from ours. Luxa Terra does not guarantee any particular outcome from a booking or purchase, and nothing on this site is financial, legal, or travel advice.
