Purezza

Plant-based pizzeria born in Brighton, with a Camden restaurant serving vegan pizza, pasta, small plates, desserts and local drinks.

Purezza is for anyone still quietly convinced pizza needs dairy to work. Founded in Brighton in 2015, the plant-based pizzeria now has a London outpost in Camden, with vegan pizza alongside pasta, salads, burgers, desserts, small plates and drinks.

The cleverness is that Purezza does not make vegan pizza feel like a consolation prize. Melted plant-based cheese, blackened crusts, meat-free nduja, pulled BBQ pieces, seitan and garlic bread arrive with all the proper carb drama intact. The less visible work matters too: local suppliers where possible, seasonal and organic produce, palm-oil avoidance, plant-based proteins, composting and recycling programmes.

So yes, come for the pizza. But notice the bigger argument: plant-forward dining can be generous, messy, convivial and very much a Friday-night thing. Purezza is not asking you to renounce pleasure. It is simply suggesting that the oozing slice on your plate might have better ethics than expected. Cheeky, and persuasive.
