Six Senses, Punta Cana
The spa at Puntacana Resort & Club, grown out of the Six Senses programme, with indoor treatment rooms and open-air palapa suites set close to the beach.
The spa at Puntacana Resort & Club sits inside the resort’s wider beach, golf and villa world, with treatment rooms arranged around reflecting ponds and two open-air palapa suites set close to the sand. The programme grew up under the Six Senses banner and still trades on that heritage: holistic, therapist-led, less a menu of treatments than a slow recalibration.
The facility runs nine treatment rooms, a couples’ suite, a beauty room, sauna and steam, with an in-house juice bar drawing from the resort’s own herb garden. Massages, facials, hot stone work, body scrubs, sports recovery and hydrotherapy all feature; yoga, Pilates, reiki and meditation round out the wider wellness offer.
What gives the address its place is the setting. Puntacana Resort & Club runs a long-standing ecological foundation, and the spa’s treatment vocabulary has drawn on locally grown medicinal plants from those grounds. The result reads as something native to the Dominican coast rather than imported from somewhere colder.
Worth booking on day one. A morning here resets a week of travel better than another mojito by the pool.
