The Ritz Carlton
A Fari Islands resort of circular villas, private pools, Aris Meeha butlers, seven dining venues and an overwater spa.
The Ritz-Carlton Maldives, Fari Islands is a resort with geometry on its mind. Its villas and overwater spa use circles and clean lines rather than thatch-heavy island nostalgia, creating a contemporary Maldives mood that feels more architectural than barefoot cliché.
Think of it as “Maldives 2.0”: villas integrated into their surroundings, colossal windows, sea-facing infinity pools and enough family programming to make the kids’ club dangerously appealing. Every villa has water views, an infinity pool and sundeck, supported by an Aris Meeha personal butler. The resort offers seven restaurants and bars across Culinary Island, Grand Sunset Beach and Fari Marina Village.
Wellness is a serious part of the stay. The ring-shaped Ritz-Carlton Spa sits over the lagoon with nine treatment rooms, while sustainability programming includes land-and-sea experiences, coral restoration work and Bamford’s organic body and skincare collection in the spa. This is high-gloss island luxury, certainly. But its best version is active and aware: snorkel, cook, restore, swim, repeat, preferably with the Indian Ocean doing its most persuasive shade of blue.
