The Well is not a spa so much as a small weather system. Set just outside Oslo, the adults-only resort is billed by its own team as the largest spa and boutique hotel in the Nordics, with more than 20,000 square metres devoted to the serious business of switching off.

The wider spa area is mobile-free, which is perhaps the most luxurious sentence in modern travel.
