None of this turns the lodge into an earnest lesson. The appeal is still pleasure: fires, lake views, rooftop hot tubs, watercraft, seasonal local cuisine and a luxury spa. The difference is that the machinery behind the comfort is at least trying to behave better.
Stay here if you want Whistler without the alpine swagger turned up too high. Nita Lake Lodge is polished, outdoorsy and quietly persuasive: proof that a mountain resort can take sustainability seriously while still understanding the importance of a very good view.
