Project Açaí

Singapore's original acai bowl brand, serving dairy-free, vegetarian, vegan-friendly bowls, smoothies and snacks across multiple city locations.

Project Acai began in Holland Village in 2015 and describes itself, quite fairly, as Singapore’s original acai bowl brand. Outlets sit at Holland Village, Takashimaya, East Coast Road in Katong and VivoCity, so this is less one cafe than a small, sunshine-coloured circuit across the island.

The menu keeps things bright and practical: acai bowls, smoothies and wholesome snacks made fresh through the day. All items are dairy-free, vegetarian, vegan-friendly and gluten-free friendly, which makes Project Acai a useful soft landing for mixed dietary groups. Nobody needs to perform a spreadsheet audit before brunch. A relief.

The appeal is straightforward: food built for colour, texture and personal preference. Bowls can be customised, smoothies can be adjusted, and even the acai-sceptic can usually be talked into something cold, fruit-led and pleasingly arranged. It is not fine dining; it is Singapore heat management with a spoon, a little crunch, and better manners than most airport breakfasts.
