Beach Rotana Abu Dhabi
A five-star Abu Dhabi mega-hotel on the Arabian Gulf: over 400 rooms, twelve restaurants and a direct link to Abu Dhabi Mall.
Beach Rotana is, by any measure, a substantial hotel. Five stars, more than 400 rooms, suites and serviced apartments, and a position on the Al Zahiyah waterfront looking out across the Arabian Gulf. This is Abu Dhabi hospitality at full scale.
It is also unusually well placed. The hotel connects directly to Abu Dhabi Mall, which makes a city stay frictionless: shopping, transport and entertainment all reachable without stepping into the heat.
Rooms are comfortable and considered rather than showy, with crisp linen and, in many cases, balconies framing the Gulf. The detail that tends to stay with guests is smaller than the headline scale: the quiet competence of the housekeeping, the morning light on the water.
Dining is where the hotel’s size becomes an asset. Twelve restaurants, cafés and bars cover most cravings a traveller could arrive with, from international buffets to focused à la carte rooms. Finz, the seafood restaurant that appears to float above the water, is the one to book for an evening that feels like an occasion.
For events, there are two ballrooms, a reminder that this is as much a hotel for weddings and conferences as for holidays.
We would not call Beach Rotana intimate, and it does not try to be. What it offers instead is range and reliability: a large, well-run city-and-beach hotel where a traveller can settle in, eat well, and reach the rest of Abu Dhabi with ease.
