Aman's Amangati to sail 19 Caribbean voyages from November 2027
The nine-deck yacht is still under construction in Genoa, but its maiden season is already filling up.
Aman at Sea, the yacht venture by Aman Resorts, has announced the inaugural Caribbean itineraries for Amangati, its 600-foot cruise ship. The vessel will run 19 voyages through the region from 21 November 2027 to 20 March 2028, before the ship itself has even reached the water.
The build and maiden season
Construction is still under way at the T. Mariotti shipyard in Genoa, Italy. Amangati is scheduled to hit the water in May 2027, after which it will run a maiden season of curated Mediterranean voyages of five to eight nights each across the months before heading west.
From the Mediterranean, the liner will cruise southwest across the Atlantic to Saint John's in Antigua, the port from which the Caribbean season unfolds. The 19 sailings all run between five and eight nights, tracing the harbours and archipelagos of the Antilles.
The Caribbean itineraries
The season opens with three regional movements through the autumn: the Leeward Islands, the Windward Islands and the Dutch Caribbean. These span the rainforests of the Pitons, the turquoise waters off Anguilla and the uninhabited Tobago Cays in the Grenadines, each selected for its own character.
Festive sailings run throughout the holidays. One is a seven-night Bridgetown-to-Saint John's voyage offering an intimate New Year's celebration at a private resort in Nevis, pairing the ship's calm with a land-based finale.
The winter season from 2 January to 20 March pushes further west into the Greater Antilles, with first calls in the Dominican Republic, Martinique, Guadeloupe and the Grenadines at a deliberately gentle pace. The route takes in the verdant jungle at Cap Cana in the Dominican Republic.
Further highlights include the lush volcanic slopes above Saint-Pierre in Martinique and the coral gardens off Kralendijk in Bonaire. Each voyage carries a range of cultural experiences, while a concierge can plan bespoke activities for guests who want their own shape to the day.
A dedicated suite host is on hand to keep each day running smoothly, and coming and going is straightforward: the yacht carries two helipads and six tenders to ferry guests between deck and shore at anchorages where no sizeable dock exists.
The ship and its suites
The ship itself is a nine-deck yacht fitted with 47 suites ranging from 731 to 3,811 square feet. The interiors follow Aman's signature quiet elegance, with refined, minimalist decor taking its cue from ryokans, the Japanese inns whose restraint has shaped the brand's estates since the beginning.
Every suite has floor-to-ceiling windows and large balconies for an airy, spacious feel. Amenities onboard include four international restaurants, a jazz club, a cinema, the signature Aman Spa, a beach club and a large aft swimming pool, giving the long crossings their own rhythm of days.
That spa carries a lineage the brand has built for decades. We profiled the Aman Spa at The Connaught in London, where a personalised menu of grounding, purifying and nourishing treatments pairs Edwardian calm with acupuncture, osteopathy and Chinese herbal medicine. The ship extends the same ethos to sea.
The brand's roots run through Bali rather than water, and that history shows in the ryokan interiors aboard. Amandari, our reference on Aman's original property above the Ayung River near Ubud, set the village-style layout of thatched suites among rice paddies that the yacht's suites quietly echo in miniature.
There is also a Dominican thread already in our coverage. Amanera Spa at Rio San Juan is at Aman's clifftop resort in the Dominican Republic, where moon-cycle rituals, four-hand massage and Dominican dance classes follow the lunar calendar.
The ship joins a wider rush of Aman openings and routes we have been tracking this year. Lufthansa flies Munich to Phoenix on the A350-900 from August 2027, and a Ritz-Carlton Reserve heads to the Bahamas in 2027, so Amangati arrives into a Caribbean luxury season that is already thickening.
Bookings have now opened through Aman at Sea. Guests can telephone +1 (754) 345-2339 or email info@amanatsea.com to enquire about the Caribbean season, with the first departure just over a year away.
The schedule gives Aman something rare in the cruise market: a vessel still under construction whose voyages are already on sale through two full seasons.
