The First Roma Arte

An art hotel of 26 rooms and suites in a 19th-century palace near Piazza del Popolo, with the two-Michelin-star Acquolina and a rooftop restaurant, Acquaroof.

Every room at The First Roma Arte hangs work by modern Italian artists, and the hotel keeps an art consultant as well as a personal shopper. Studio Marincola styled the interiors of this 19th-century nobleman’s palace, restored as a contemporary art hotel with 26 rooms and suites. Part of The Pavilions collection, it is on Via del Vantaggio, two minutes on foot from Piazza del Popolo, seven from the Spanish Steps and ten from the Trevi Fountain.

The 25 sq m Prestige Room comes in walnut and velvet, with an Emperador marble bathroom. The Arte Suite adds a living room with a blue velvet sofa and a coffee table of Levanto red marble. The Spa Suites have a private terrace with a hot tub, and the Spa Suite View looks over Rome’s rooftops. The 100 sq m Presidential Suite has two bedrooms, three bathrooms and a terrace with a jacuzzi.

Acquolina holds two Michelin stars on the ground floor. Chef Daniele Lippi cooks two tasting menus of new Mediterranean cuisine there, Tuesday to Saturday from 7pm. On the sixth-floor roof garden, Acquaroof Terrazza Molinari runs as a seafood bistro and cocktail bar with views over Rome from breakfast to dinner. Contemporary art hangs in the Lounge Bar too.

The panoramic Technogym fitness area is open to guests only. Massages, facials and personal training come to your room through the in-room wellness menu. Small dogs up to 6 kg are welcome.
